Nicole Bogner was a prominent Austrian mezzo-soprano singer, best known for her contributions to the symphonic metal band Visions of Atlantis from 2000 until her departure in late 2005. Born on March 22, 1984, Bogner was a key founding member and vocalist for the band, inspired by both the myth of Atlantis and the success of Nightwish.

Under Bogner's tenure with Visions of Atlantis, the band saw significant growth and accomplishments. Their first demo, "Morning in Atlantis," was released in 2000, and they signed with TTS Media Music/Black Arrow Productions in 2001. In 2002, they released their debut studio album, "Eternal Endless Infinity." Bogner's powerful vocals were a driving force behind the band's early success and helped establish their unique symphonic metal sound.

One of Bogner's most notable contributions to Visions of Atlantis came in 2004 with the release of their second studio album, "Cast Away." The first official music video for the track "Lost" was produced, which received widespread airplay on channels like VIVA and MTV. This exposure enabled the band to effectively promote their album and gain a larger fanbase. Additionally, "Lemuria" from the same album was used as the beginning of the medal ceremonies at the 2011 World Athletics Championship in Daegu, South Korea.

Nicole Bogner's legacy with Visions of Atlantis extended beyond her departure in late 2005. After leaving the band due to commitments elsewhere, she was replaced by American soprano singer Melissa Ferlaak and Wolfgang Koch took over as the band's vocalist. However, both Melissa and Wolfgang left the band in late 2007. Bogner's impact on the band was significant and her influence can still be felt in their music today. The band continued to evolve and grow after her departure, releasing their third album "Trinity" in May 2007, but Nicole Bogner will always be remembered as a founding member and crucial contributor to the early success of Visions of Atlantis.
