Leslie Cameron Harvey was a Scottish guitarist, best known for his work with the band Stone the Crows, as well as being the older brother of renowned rock musician Alex Harvey. Born on September 13, 1944, in Govan, Glasgow, Leslie's introduction to music began in the late 1950s and early 1960s when he was asked to join the Animals by Alan Price but chose instead to stay with his brother in the Alex Harvey Soul Band.
Throughout the 1960s, Leslie's musical journey led him to join various bands, most notably the Blues Council and later Scottish group Cartoone. With Cartoone, he recorded tracks for their second album and embarked on a tour of the United States supporting Led Zeppelin. Additionally, he played guitar on Bee Gees member Maurice Gibb's unreleased album, The Loner. In late 1969, Leslie co-founded Stone the Crows alongside Maggie Bell, Colin Allen, James Dewar, and John McGinnis.
